The Legend of Mary Shaw

Yet another photo. Perhaps I will make a Dark Art photo. Anyway, this was the cover and poster for the excellent (and, might I add, extremely scary) movie, Dead Silence. If you haven't seen it, I highly recommend you do. It's a great flick.

This was an extremely memorable quote from the movie. The curse of Mary Shaw;

Beware the stare of Mary Shaw,
She had no children,
Only dolls.
And if you see her,
Do not scream.
Or she'll rip your tongue out,
At the seam.

If I remember correctly, they accused the old woman of being a fake in her shows...or something along that line. She was a ventriloquist. After some men hunted her down and cut out her tongue, she returned and summoned her dolls to kill, wreak havoc and fear...oh man. Whoever wrote this movie... was twisted.
